Reno

Meet Reno. A really nice red boy thats been in rescue for way too long. Reno has been in our program for a year now and it's a crying shame. It seems that he keeps getting passed up because people want a dog that's blonder, or younger, or has a bigger head, or is more "laid back". Reno is only 4 1/2 years old, and yes, when he first meets you he may give you the impression that he's hyper, but if people would spend a little more time with him they would soon see he calms down. Heck, come on over to my house and meet my guys, for the first ten minutes they act like total idiots!

Reno with his new foster Mom
Theresa picked up Reno last weekend (7/28/01) from our Adoption Coordinator who has been fostering him these many months. These are the things that Teresa has already observed about Reno: He gets along great with other dogs (no cats please!), walks well on a lead, is house broken, rarely barks, rides good in a car, loves people and his stuffed woobies and is well mannered. What! That's not enough? Okay...Reno is on the smaller side for a male, he's neutered, micro-chipped and in great health, he just had his teeth cleaned (man, do they shine!) and Theresa has already enrolled him in basic obedience class where he's doing great! What's not to like about this guy! Come on people, there must be a home for Reno out there somewhere.

Reno copping some hugs
Reno came into rescue a little over a year ago. He's another one of those dogs that was bought as a puppy for a child. As soon as the kid lost interest, Reno found himself tied to a stake in the backyard. It didn't take long for Mom and Dad to figure out that they didn't want to take care of Reno either, so we got him. Disposable diapers, cameras, lighters, and I read in the paper today, disposable telephones! Why am I surprised that pets have become disposable also?

What a smile. Check out those white teeth!
