How To Adopt

Meet Mr. Remus. He came in with the name "Lucky", but we could find little in his former life that would warrant that name. Well I guess with the exception that he came to us. He is four years old and had lived his entire life in the backyard. Not surprisingly he came with no manners or training. Therefore the name Remus after one of the twins that founded Rome. You know...the guy raised by a she-wolf. Actually the original Remus probably was taught more manners. Not to worrry, Remus has made tremendous progress. Be sure to read his "Frequently Asked Questions" page.

As you can see, Remus is now well adjusted to living in the house. He gets along just fine with our SIX other dogs and our CAT! He is constantly moving though if you are. A true velcro dog, he has to be where you are. Remus is a six month old puppy in a four year old dogs body. Really...I'm not kidding. He's full of mischief but he's not destructive. Remus has to go to home a where his family has a sense of humour! He will make you laugh with his puppy antics. If you want a couch potato, he's not for you. As you can see in this picture, this boy is on the move!

Here is a picture of Remus and some of his buddies chilling in the backyard. Familiar turf for him and something he has to have. A fenced in backyard. You have to see him run to understand this. This guy will run laps over and over in sheer joy.

Remus is crate trained, but sleeps with us in the bedroom at night. He's cute as can be, has a really nice red coat and is on the small size.

My favorite picture of Remus. We took in seven month old Ginger (the psycho on the right) and Remus was in "hog heaven". Someone to PLAY with!!! I've had over 50 fosters now and I have to tell you that Remus is at the top of the list when it comes to bite inhibition. This guy never once even pretended to lay teeth on his seven month old play partner. Outstanding!!!
