Uh Oh, here she is caught taking a nap on the couch.
I'm afraid we have spoiled her just like the rest of our guys.
Flash has graduated from obedience class so she does know the
meaning of "off" for those of you who don't allow your
pets on the furniture. She knows all the basic commands (sit,
down, stay etc...) and is very good at them. She likes to please
you. The big knock on this little girl is that she has dysplasia.
She was x-rayed by her former owner and I have taken the x-ray
to my Vet who says he would grade it a 2... 4 being the worst.
He put her on Vetraflex and she will need to remain on it for
the rest of her life. Vetraflex is like Glycoflex which helps
promote cartilage build up. In his opinion she may
very well live the rest of her life with NO major problems.
Sally Anne's vet
also looked at the x-ray and agreed. This is not a guaranty that
she won't develop arthritis or even need surgery down the road
but it is encouraging. I am going to send her x-ray to a certified
radiologist for another long term prognosis and when I get it
I will post it here. For more information on canine dysplasia
