A little flash of fire!

Adopted
Flash went to her new forever home on 6/16/00. Thanks so much
to everyone who inquired about her. We will post the details and
pictures soon so check back. Yes...she got her swimming pool!

This little girl was sure named right. No "flash in the pan" for her. She is a little spitfire! High energy and cute as a button. Flash will be 2 years old July 2000. She is very petite at about 45 or 50 pounds. She is spayed and heartworm free.

Uh Oh, here she is caught taking a nap on the couch. I'm afraid we have spoiled her just like the rest of our guys. Flash has graduated from obedience class so she does know the meaning of "off" for those of you who don't allow your pets on the furniture. She knows all the basic commands (sit, down, stay etc...) and is very good at them. She likes to please you. The big knock on this little girl is that she has dysplasia. She was x-rayed by her former owner and I have taken the x-ray to my Vet who says he would grade it a 2... 4 being the worst. He put her on Vetraflex and she will need to remain on it for the rest of her life. Vetraflex is like Glycoflex which helps promote cartilage build up. In his opinion she may very well live the rest of her life with NO major problems. Sally Anne's vet also looked at the x-ray and agreed. This is not a guaranty that she won't develop arthritis or even need surgery down the road but it is encouraging. I am going to send her x-ray to a certified radiologist for another long term prognosis and when I get it I will post it here. For more information on canine dysplasia click HERE.

Help! My wife and I have fallen in love with this little girl. If someone doesn't adopt her soon I'm afraid we will and that is one less Golden we can foster. She is just way tooo cute. Flash would love to go to a home where she would receive lots of attention. I tend to think she needs either a fenced in yard or a pool (she loves to swim). Both would be just too cool. That is what we would like for all of our fosters! Got cats? No problem. Flash just loves them!
