| Brooksie's story is kind of sad.She was turned into Manatee Animal Services, where she was one of the lucky ones who managed to get a home. Not for long <sigh>, she was turned back in within a week because the people said she kept wanting to come into the house??? No problem, she was adopted out again. This time she lasted 3 weeks <double sigh>. Once again this poor girl was back. Gail and I got a call from a volunteer at the shelter asking us to please take Brooksie into GRRMF's program. As it was explained to us "Brooksie needs a "Golden Retriever home", not a shelter home." We understood this immediately having fostered many young Goldens. What could we do? Of course we took her in. |

| Brooksie gets along great with all other dogs and cats are fine also. (can you see our kitty Clancy laying in the chair?) Brooksie was bounced around because she is a very active girl! Sweet to a fault, she does like to be under your butt! |

Okay...lets list all Brooksies good qualities. 1: She
has been through obedience school and did very well. She knows
all the basics and some of them from hand signals only! 2:Gets along with everyone and all other animals. 3: Turned one year old on April Fools Day 2002. Brooksie is young, healthy, and a very petite 50 lbs.4: She is very cute. 5: Brooksie is crate trained and house broken. 6: Loves to give kisses! |

| Alright then. What are Brooksie's bad points? She's busy, busy, busy. That's it! She needs to go to a home that will provide her with a lot of love and stimulation. She'll pay you back in spades! |
| We are volunteers and a foster home for GRRMF. We are not officers, nor are we board members. We can't speed up your application, or tell you your status.
